Corona talks 14. With a public speaker

In corona talks #14 I present you Olga, a public speaker from Odessa.

Olga and I met in my home town in Ukraine many years ago, and it is a pleasure to follow her life and the hobbies she tried.

Actually I talked with Olga several weeks ago, but I needed time to write the story. Not only because I know her personally, but also because there are so many layers in this person: layers of creativity, beauty, uniqueness, spirituality, love, kindness and harmonic connection to other people.

But today I am ready to share her story with you.

Professional

Olga built a career as an accountant, she has corporate clients and teaches accounting.

Maybe that’s why her hobbies are very creative, so it is a contrast with demanding logical job.

Slavic fitness

Around 2013- 2014 Olga took part in psychology and art festival in the town near Odessa. There they were introduced to the Slavic fitness/ gymnastics, that was popular in Ukraine and continues to be popular in Russia.

Olga enjoyed the workshop and decided to become an instructor in this area.

She considers herself as a spiritual person, who seeks answers. At that time she had an inner crisis, that inspired the girl to open the new horizons and try something else.

Slavic fitness has some specifics.

How to become image – maker and personal stylist

Today I want to share with you story about beautiful and talented girl from Odessa, image – marker Marina.

I hope her story will help you to believe in yourself and start some new project of your life.

From childhood Marina had passion for languages, books, fashion and all beautiful things around her. So when she grew up she decided to study international economic relationships.

“Why did I choose this education? Because I was curious how the world is, why some countries are rich,and others – poor. I wanted to discover different cultures and to learn new languages”.

After graduation Marina started to work at international logistic company. colleagues were nice, salary was very good, but after several years she understood that this job is not enough…

Marina wanted something more in her life. I think we all feel this from time to time, but how many people do listen to their heart and feelings?

Odessa artists’ exhibition in Illichivsk

Last week I visited the local museum in Illichivsk. They presented exhibition of Odessa artists who graduated from Grekovka. The exhibition was dedicated to 150 years of foundation of Grekovka.

Today I spend all day with an artist Diana and stylist Marina. We spend a great time at Botanic garden in Odessa and then attended performance “One way ticket” at HUB Odessa. I still under impression from this little theater and I am looking forward to tell you about this event.

Electrical company in Odessa

One Danish company asked me to do research of Ukrainian companies and to see if there is possibility to work with Ukraine.
I got really excited after this offer, I never did researches and it was interesting to discover what Ukraine produces. I contacted a lot of companies and about one of them I will write in my today’s post.

Недавно встретилась с очень интересными и необычными девушками, сестрами Екатериной и Светланой, основателями издательства “Три муравья“. В прошлом году девушки напечатали свою первую книгу “Книжка для тех, кто любит дни рождения”. Работа над книгой заняла полгода, к ней они привлекли одесских художников. На этом Светлана и Екатерина не остановились, они издали еще две детские книжки: “Книжка для всех, кто любит спорт” и “Головные уборы”. Также в ближайших планах издание еще двух книг этим летом.

Oksana Mas’ exhibition

Today in my home city, Illichivsk, was celebration of the Day of the City. In the city there were a lot of people, commune organised a lot of events for kids and grow – ups, the city got new spring look and installed several new art works.
In local museum there was organised exhibition of Oksana Mas‘ works.
Oksana is, maybe, the most famous Ukrainian artists in the world nowadays. She became famous after participation in Venice Biennale in 2011.

Exhibition of Odessa artist Vadim Kuchera – Kuts

Another thing I did on weekend – was to attend exhibition of Odessa artist Vadim Kuchera – Kuts (1966 – 2013) at Museum of Western and Eastern Art.

Here is translation of museum’s description of the exhibition:

“Vadim’s paintings are stunningly vivid and really live in their surreal truthfulness as colored dreams of a young man in love. Vadim Kuchera-Kuts – successful synthesis of Odessa temperamental beginning (Odessa Art School, workshop of the famous Odessa artist-teacher Pavlyuk) and St. Petersburg artistic forging (Academy of Fine Arts, president of the Academy workshop B. Ugarov ).

Lecture about meaning of life

This weekend I attended several interesting events, among them – seminar about destination at “Hub Odessa”. The seminar was dedicated to Hub’s new program of social enterprise. The speaker of seminar was Igor Solodov. He was telling about a lot of interesting things and I want to share the information with you.

Я всегда любила поезда. Особенно истории, связанные с этим видом транспорта. Сколько раз у меня завязывались разговоры с попутчиками, которых я никогда больше не видела. Думаю, наши плацкарты заменяют людям психологов и так необходимого искреннего человеческого общения. Ведь, какое чувство комфорта – рассказать человеку о самом сокровенном, зная, что больше вы никогда не встретитесь.
К счастью, Сергей, в поезде Одесса – Киев, не рассказывал мне ужасы своей жизни. Наоборот, поведал мне о своей работе и причинах деловой поездки. Сергей ехал с большой компанией на семинар в Москве, и они оказались прекрасными и веселыми попутчиками.
